New World at War Co-Op Trailer Released

A brand new trailer has been released today for Call of Duty: World at War showing us some more action from the co-op portion of the game. Check it out below:

I'm really looking forward to tackling some SP missions with other players who know what they're doing, rather than the often unreliable AI team-mates the game gives.

Ditto to the two above me!

I like the 'grit' to this game and the blood/gore/dying by fire, I really think is going to add to the 'war' feeling of this game. Co-op will definitely be fun! This trailer was also put together in a cool, creative way.

I look more forward to this game it seems with each bit of new info/trailer they put out.

I'm seeing some familiar player animations from cod4. Also the flamethrower looks to be slightly overhyped.

What do you base that on? There is no flamethrower gameplay in that video (only fires caused by molotov cocktails and explosions).

I paused the HD video whenever text came up on the screen and made some notes of what was displayed. Gives us a few hints and bits of info on some of the challenges in the game that some might find interesting (I've bolded a few). Sorry for any typos. Enjoy.

4-Player CO-OP
Campaign Mission: Eviction
Campaign Co-Op allows you and up to three other players to complete the entire campaign cooperatively online. While playing through the co-op campaign, you gain experience points (XP) by completing Co-Op Challenges. XP is added to your global rank, which means you level up in both multiplayer and co-op at the same time. You can also choose to play COmpetitive Co-Op and show your online buddies the stats to prove who has the skills to compete.

Player 1: JUGGAJ
Stats - JuggaJ started his single player game earlier in the evening when he noticed NOBAX007 online and invited him into a co-op match. AXISOF3VI1 and Ad1ib jumped in to help them through this Berlin campaign mission.
Multiplayer Status - Major III
Notes - Was getting his @ss kicked in Multiplayer so he switched to Co-Op to level up, knowing that upon his return, he'll finally be tough enough to dole outwhat he had been receiving.

Player 2: NOBAX007
Stats - Accepted JuggaJ invite and quickly jumped into co-op to build up his global rank.
Multiplayer Status - Private I
Notes - Has never played multiplayer and is ranking up in Co-Op to get to a higher level before taking the plunge.

Player 3: AXISOF3VI1
Stats - AxisOf3vi1 has already accumulated 2000 XP this evening and is about to level up from 56 to 57.
Multiplayer Status - Brigadier General III
Notes - Wants to return to Multiplayer as a Major General and unlock the highly coveted Russian anti-tank sniper rifle, the PTRS-41.

Player 4: AD1IB
Stats - Ad1ib is trying to complete enough Co-Op Challenges to obtain the powerful FG42 that unlocks with his next rank.
Multiplayer Status - Major III
Notes - Needs more firepower before the big game with his co-workers.

CO-OP CHALLENGES & Status

Bartender - killed 25 enemies with molotov cocktails = 100 XP
Riot Control - killed 89 of 100 enemies with shotguns
Frequent Flyer - killed 12 of 50 enemies with the flamethrower
Painkiller - unlocked the painkiller Co-Op cheat
Lucky Punk - killed 22 of 25 enemies while in Last Stand
Hat Trick - 3 headshots in a row, x times in a single mission (game tracks "x" (ie. 2 times, 3 times, etc)) = 250 XP
Run & Gunner - killed 250 enemies with submachine guns = 100 XP
The Spartan - killed 39 of 50 Banzai chargers
Heavy Metal - killed 112 of 250 enemies with light machine guns
Power of Ten - got a 10X bonus multiplier
Brass Collection - completed a level on a single clip of ammo
REMF - 50th kill assist = 100 XP
Diehard - 30 killstreak = 100 XP (might be a different number, but 30 is what the player achieved)
Backdraft - killed 3 enemies by exploding the tank of an enemy flamethrower
Flea Flicker - got an enemy kill by tossing back a grenade thrown by a team mate
Eviction - working to score 50 000 points or higher in this campaign mission = 500 XP
Paintball - unlocked the paintball co-op cheat = 50 XP
Purple Heart (+50 points) - complete a level without any team members going into Last Stand
Cluster Chuck - ??? (only listed at the end without details) = 250 XP
The Cleaner - ??? (only listed at the end without details) = 100 XP
Hot Potato - ??? (only listed at the end without details) = 100 XP

(keep in mind, some of these might change before release)

And the "Hot Potato" challenge is in CoD4 which involves picking up a nade thrown at you and launching it back, and killing another person.
