Glad I'm able to give it a try before I consider a buy.

Why is that surprising?
I played Half-Life: Uplink and the Half-Life 2 demo before those games came out. Uplink is a demo for Half-Life, by the way. There was also a demo for HL: Decay on PS2.
I played Portal: First Slice, that came out after the Orange Box though.

It seems to me like a lot of their games have demos. So why the hate and shock this time?
