Any major company originally reached a point in their history where they realized they had something great. Microsoft had Windows 95, CNN had network broadcasting, but Nintendo had something even better. The Super Nintendo. This little box was revolutionary for gaming. Although marketed as an entirely new experience, it was basically an improved version of the NES but with more colors, audio, visuals, and more. Nevertheless, it's pure awesome.
It was truly 16-bit awesomeness. Sega was trying to take over the market with the Genesis but as soon as it launched the SNES stopped that. What other console can you think of comes bundled with a game like Super Mario World?
