well the play dead perk looks cool. I wonder if that will "not" show your icon above your head when an enemy looks at you. that would be fun! someone running by thinking your dead and BAM.

Treyarch previously stated in an interview a couple months back that perks some folks found annoying, such as Martyrdom, would remain in the game, but that they would be introducing new perks that would counter them.

The "leaked" list above may be semi-accurate, but I'll wait for an authentic list from Treyarch/Activision before commenting. I'm skeptical about some of the supposed new perks in that list.

Americans and Russians are the Allied forces in COD:WW, not the British, so it makes sense that there wouldn't be many, if any, Brit weapons included. But again, IMO this list is incomplete at best...I wouldn't get upset about anything until the "real" list shows up.

If we do get martyrdom, I hope it requires you to have a nade in your inventory when you die, like how you need a pistol on you with last stand. Trench guns will probably be a lot more balanced then CoD2, but hopefully not as nerfed as CoD4.

Patton: These are speculated potential weapons, doesn't mean there won't be more.

Such as a flamethrower for this new dead perk, just scorch the ground lol! But how do you combat marty? The nade shouldn't be as strong, take nades away from the normal inventory, a weapon away, something.

First, ROFL @ your avatar!

Martyrdom is where you die, lay an egg (drop a nade) and then in packed servers, you end up with a lot of kills. It annoys a lot of people as it is a perk that is used AFTER you die. Somewhat the same with last stand, but at least you have to do something there. Martyrdom is a perk that is only useful when you die; whereas, perks such as stopping power, deep impact, etc are perks that help you kill others while alive and are more along the lines of the fact that you don't plan on dying as much.

I don't mind either, but it seems as those the martyrdom nade has a larger blast radius and I hate that little bit of delay in last stand where they have protection. So I keep shooting at them, but they're protected, I run out of bullets, they're not activated, and I die. :yay: Not always, but it happens.

                        Martyrdom, and
Did I mention how much we hated the Helo and Airstrikes in CoD4? Sadly, non-player controlled MP elements are back in WW: a fact that was foretold to us by Josh when we interviewed him in BASH 77 last week. Note that CoD:WW has kept a lot of this type of commonality in CoD4, whose gaming engine it is using, so as not to unbalance gameplay.

                        Recon Plane
Frag three of the enemy without dying and you get to deploy the recon plane. It temporarily shows you the location of your foe on a RADAR box in the top left of your screen. This of course matches the UAV in CoD4.

                        Artillery Strike
Frag five enemy combatants and you get to select a strike zone on the map. A few seconds later...whammo! The artillery shells hit the target. This of course replaces CoD4's dreaded aimbot Helo.

                        Dogs of War
In a bizarre twist, if you frag seven enemy soldiers, you get to release Attack Dogs onto your foe. The dogs chase down and kill the enemy. They will also see out any camped units hiding in the weeds. DoW replaces the CoD4 Airstrike.
That and the grenade spam is what annoys me the most in COD4. I think I will wait for something less consoleish.
