Burnout Paradise Bike Pack in Final Testing Stages

You've conquered all that there is to do in Burnout Paradise, have you? You might be singing a different tune when the next content pack is rolled out soon that introduces motorcycles in to the mix!
Along with introducing the FV1100 street bike and the Nakamura Firehawk V4 racing bike, the Bikes Pack, which is currently in its final phase of testing, promises another 9-10 hours of gameplay. A big chunk of that time will be spent facing 70 new Freeburn Challenges, half of which are the relaxed, free roaming sort, while the other half are timed, multipart challenges like testing how long you can ride a wheelie. The city map also gets refreshed for this update with 38 Burning Rides for timed races through traffic. All 64 streets will also now show a fast time to beat for bikes as well as cars.

Chubb says that the team put a massive effort into the bikes. They've spent years refining how the cars handle, but with the bikes he says, "we wanted to get them right the first time." He goes on to talk about how the scope of this update represents Criterion's commitment to extending Burnout Paradise well beyond just what comes with the base game. He describes their plans: "We want to change Burnout this year. Big Time. And we want to do it through downloadable packs." And while saying that is one thing, considering that these updates have all been free so far Criterion has definitely backed up the promises with loads of content.

Chubb added one other tidbit PS3 owners will be glad to hear: the development team has already gotten to work on the next PS3 update which will add Trophies.
As noted, the packs will be free on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles when it's released, just as previous content packs have been for the game.

Out since the beginning of the year, Burnout Paradise has seen a nice reduction in price for both systems. If you're a fan of the series, or a fan or racing games, or a fan of just having a lot of fun, go pick the game up already!
