Speaking with Eurogamer at the Leipzig Games Convention, Quantic Dream president, David Cage, confirmed that there will be a demo for Heavy Rain. In addition, Cage remarked that downloadable content is "definitely a possibility."

Heavy Rain recently picked up the subtitle of The Origami Killer with a poster that depicts a blood stained origami piece. A tag line for the game reads, "how far are you prepared to go to save someone you love?" The game will center around four playable characters and feature a number of quick time events as seen in the studio's previous title, Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy).
Heavy Rain is a PS3 exclusive and is slated to be released some time in 2009.

Given the nature of the title, however, demo content is likely to steer clear of the main story, instead focusing on conveying the game's unique mechanics.
"We need to think about it, but I wouldn't want to spoil the story," Cage added. "We've spent a lot of time working on the story this time; we've worked with people from Hollywood, script writers, to really make it just right. And I think it's a very unusual story for a videogame, so I think people will be quite surprised."
