A number of gaming sites from around the net have posted up new articles today previewing the upcoming conquest mode in Battlefield: Bad Company. My time playing on all of the modified levels was very enjoyable, although not all that dissimilar from what I remember from the original Bad Company offering of Gold Rush. While the strategy elements do help to differentiate Conquest Mode as much as possible, the end goal is still to kill the enemy as often as possible. Also, the fact that there are no new rewards to unlock is a little disappointing. Read more...

It’s nice to see that EA and DICE will continue to support B:BC with new content, and Conquest is no chintzy add-on. It looks like it’ll provide a nice expansion on top of an already solid multiplayer component. The main question now is when the mode update will become available, and we’ll update you with a concrete release date when we get the details from EA. Read more...
