Comic-Con 08: Battlefield: Heroes

EA has posted a new blog from Comic-Con 08 this one talks a bit about Battlefield: Heroes, Check it out:

The guys at DICE are an amazing crew.

Having spoke with Producer Alexander Grondal to get an overview of the game, I'm pretty stoked about getting on the battlefield.

Starting off, you enlist as either a member of the Royal or National Army and select your character class of Soldier, Gunner or Commando. The character customization is pretty deep for this type of game and does a good job of adding to the personalized experience.

Battlefield Heroes has a visual style that is very new to the franchise which also helps to distinguish it from previous Battlefield titles. But don't be fooled by the cartoon-like animation as this game packs a wallop.

Look for this free, easy to pick up and play title later this year.

i'm currently in the beta, and i dont know what u guys are excited about, it really sucks compared to bf2 and bf bad company...its still better than 2142 lol......if you dont believe me i got 3 gigs of footage from fraps that im too lazy to upload...

It sounds like you'll have to create 2 characters? One for each army?

Hmm, we'll see.

Games.tiscali.cz posted in a euro magazine as Aug 1 as the release date. We'll see about that too :P

I would guess that DICE/EA would announce the date at least a fortnight before the release so as to give enough time to build up the hype-o-metre. August 1st is too close for that theory of mine. I would pitch a bet it will be October.

lol you will be disappointed.....trust me man.you have to create a character for every class and army....the game sucks ****..btw here is a screenshot to prove that i own it...dice sucks at making games that gets them money..bf heroes is not even gonna get them any money so its looks like they did it in 6 mins.....**** i could do a better job.

I'm not quite sure what you mean with that, you're not forced to create multiple characters if you don't want to.. but the soldiers you can create and the options you will have to dress them up will be vast; and very cool.

If they are so bad at making games, why do so many people buy them?!
By my standings they are one of the best game developers.......
