Well, nearly. computerandvideogames.com has announced that the The Sega Mega Drive 16bit will soon be hitting the shops again... but in a hand-held version. Here is what they had to say:
A 16bit Mega Drive handheld is to be released that includes twenty built-in games, including Sonic and Knuckles, Golden Axe and Revenge of Shinobi.
The unit also has an A/V connector and included cable, so you can connect it up to a TV if you were so inclined to play Sonic on a LCD widescreen TV. And haven't downloaded it through Xbox Live.
Keeping with the nineties chic angle, the console also requires 3 AAA batteries. You know, they were the cylinder shaped devices that powered things before scientists realised you could recharge stuff.
