    $399 80GB Playstation 3 Revealed

Today at Sony's E3 press conference Jack Tretton the President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America officially announced a new 80GB PS3 model. Check it out:
Sony revealed that the a $399 PlayStation 3 with a 80GB hard drive will take the place of the 40GB model at the middle of the PS3 pack.

The new PS3 will apparently have the same functionality as the 40GB model currently on sale. Which would mean no PS2 compatibility.

So if your still wanting a PS3 and be able to play your old PS2 games on it you better pick up a MGS4 80GB bundle while they last.

They don't make the 60GB (Launch Model) anymore. The Americans have a 80GB model that can play PS2 games. In Europe we had the launch model (until they stopped making them) and have now had just the 40GBs with no backwards capablities for quite some time. As for Australia? Who knows? :p
