    Wii Sports Gets a Sequel

Nintendo has announced that the very popular game Wii Sports will be getting a sequel called Wii Sports Resort. Check it out:
Nintendo already announced the Wii Motion Plus peripheral yesterday, but at todays E3 2008 Nintendo Press Conference they announced the first game to use the add-on: Wii Sports Resort.

Wii Sports Resort is the sequel to the packed in Wii Sports title that comes with every Wii. Nintendo showed off three of the games featured in the title, all of which are themed around Summer beach sports.

The first game shown was a frisbee throwing minigame where players have to try and thrown a plastic disc to a certain spot so that their puppy can catch it.

The second game was a jet skiing minigame. Reggie Fils-Aime demoed the game, using the Wii Remote and Nunchuck as the handles of the jet ski. Accelerating is done by revving the Wii Remote like a throttle.

Sword fighting is another game that uses the Wii Motion Plus controls to simulate 1:1. Players can duel each other using lightsaber looking plastic swords. Nintendo demoed the game by having Nintendo executives try to kill each other on screen.

According to Nintendo, Wii Sports Resort launches globally next Spring.

Its a bit sad that after all this time, the best game for the Wii is still the one that is included with the console.
I hope that the sequel lives up to the original

It's kind of sad yes but I still play Wii Sports every now and then and it really is fun lol. I'm excited about the sequel. It's almost good though, the best game we got for free! :p
