Finally! Build 2600 was the chosen one and Insurgency Beta 2.1 RC is out! We thank all of you for your patience and for the great atmosphere on our IRC channel and forums prior to this release. It has been a long, quite funny night (heck, and morning!) and it has been great to talk to all of you. A big thanks for your support during these months of development!
I'd like to publicly thank the whole development team for what has been a great collective effort. It has taken a long time and it hasn't been easy, but it was worth the wait. For many reasons, this was a very important milestone for us too. Now it's time for you to check it out, and hopefully enjoy playing a new version of Insurgency: Modern Infantry Combat as much as we've enjoyed making it.
In the following hours, forum threads and polls will go live right at these forums to gather your feedback about the new version. Remember: INS 2.1RC is a release candidate, so we want to hear from you, and give it a few finishing touches over the following weeks! In case you missed it, you can still check the 2.1 RC changelog in the post below to find out what's new from 2.0.

Please install this small update after installing the new version! It fixes an issue with the new pain / supression effects. Installing this patch allows players to fully experience the new shaders.
