icculus.org has released the new 1.7 Linux server files for the Call of Duty 4 version 1.7 Check it out:
This patch makes the Linux server compatible with 1.7 clients.
This patch can be used to create a new server (if you supply the retail data files) or patch an existing server to 1.7.
