I like the BF:BC destructible environments (got it for 360), and that kind of feature would be awesome in a PC game, that and the fact that PC games can host more players online. The BC maps don't feel right with just 12 players per side; that and the destructibility is a little too easy. No M203 round can take out a wall the way it does in BC. I'd like to see a more specific and more difficult system. Each weapon does a certain amount of damage, and each surface can take a certain amount before it is destroyed, but the area destroyed needs to be more specific to where the damage occurred, rather than the whole thing going down when that side of the building is hit. It can get the point that 5 minutes into the game no walls are left standing because its just that easy.4

Well my opinion on a BF3 is definetely WWII , just imagine a BF1942 clone with stunning graphics and a lot of new improvements, e.g. destroyable buildungs or terrain like in BFBC.

Destructible environments is a must. I haven't played BF:BC yet to know, but Ill just have to go by what Ive heard on that part. Anyone ever play Red Faction II for PS2? It was a start for that. You could blow a hole in a wall, and it was only where you shot at.

BF3 - Not sure I can have any predictions on that. I feel BF:V was left for dead more so than BF1942. I highly doubt they will return to any of those conflicts. The modern day setting seems to be the forum for todays multiplayer FPS. If they really want to go modern, it should be BF3: Battle For Oil. No more countries, just CEOs and mail clerks of big companies going after one another. Im anxious to see what EA has in store.

well yeah but its been done, like how many times? maybe not with "stunning graphics" or destructable environments but im pretty sure most devs are done with it.

Whatever the case may be, we won't be seeing BF3 before next summer. I'm calling it right now...

Red Faction II was far from the first game...think Red Faction (1) Sure it looks like crap now but at the time it looked good and had way more destructible environments. Both were on PC as well. I was playing RF back in '02 online with my friends.
