I like this kind of ambiguous news, no one understands anything, so it may be 5 games including battlefield 3 for PC or not.
And after all that, we remain not knowing if bf3 is under development or not.

If by handle you mean rush the development and the stop after maybe one patch then yes, they are pretty pro at that.

Whats this? Did they just promise 1/5th the current mod support? That'll be great what with the Frostbite engine being new and all. I guess 20% x 0 = same result. We'll survive...

BF1242, If you teamkill, you get put in the stocks, and passers by can pelt you with rotten tomatoes.

You'd be able to unlock armor and shields, as well as spears, daggers, swords.

The vehicles would be chariots, catapults (instead of artillery).

I know the most don't like to hear something like that, but please let Bf3 be a Sci-Fi shooter with lasers! :)

i REMEMber somewhere DICE said they found that modern settings worked best. i think they said that about bf badcompany, so maybe they will stick bf3 in modern setting too.

Wow.... five?! That's insane. I know with EA as their owners they have a much more better chance at big money than other studios, but has their team really grown that much?

On another note, living in Maryland has its benefits of being surrounded by startup developers. I recently visited one studio and what they do, is outsource the more specialized sources to others, instead of having a (large) highly specialized and localized roster, that way the work load on everyone is cut vastly.

But anyway, maybe they're saving the PC news for E3 this year?!

If they're spreading themselves thin trying to make 5 games at once, you can bet your glutes we'll be dealing with a lot of bugs.

Oh, but don't worry... that's what patches are for! It's f*cking sad that people have gotten so used to them at this point.

Lets face it, "Battlefield" has now become EA slang for "Any multiplayer game with guns".
Expect to see Battlefield 2009, 2010, 2011 etc., where the only difference is slight graphical changes.
If they had bought Valve we would now be playing Battlefield: Fortress.

We can always hope they do a good job, given that EA aquired Dice it would be a safe assumption they have a lot more personnel at their disposal (potentially)

I would bet a large amount of money that one of those is BF3, because lets face it, they will release a bf3

I can understand them making a more orthodox battlefield game for the consoles, see which is most successful
