Left 4 Dead Set For November 4th

Five new gameplay videos from Left 4 Dead and an interview with project leader Mike Booth have been released on Game Trailers. The game has also been given a release date of November 4th:

There's a new set of Left 4 Dead videos to watch over on Gametrailers: five gameplay sequences and an insightful interview with Mike Booth. In the interview, Booth briefly explains the premise of the game before speaking at length about the AI director and how it controls lighting and music to create and adjust the atmosphere. He also describes how easy it is to spot uncooperative bad apples in your team and eject them from the game, which will no doubt please most fans. He ends by confirming that the game will be released on November 4th.

Scale and Survive and Cam Street Survival both begin in cramped alleyways. Cam Street Survival ends underground in a safe room, while Scale and Survive finishes in a warehouse. In Painkillers the team are shown fighting in close proximity indoors, in the street, and then down into the ruined subway. Subway Salvation carries on from there, showing the players clinging to their lives against a continuous onslaught of boss zombies including the boomer, the witch, and the hunter.

This game looks interesting but the whole zombie/horror thing really is a turn off for me. Probably not going to get it, but just play Spore instead since it is coming out around then.

I'm really looking forward to this as well, I love co-op games and this looks really interesting.

The videos are quite funny as there is almost no teamwork and the people (person?) playing doesn't seem that very good. By the third video I was almost screaming reload at my monitor because they just kept walking around with 1 shell in the shotgun...

I was a bit disappointed at the Witch, I always read it was going to be almost impossible to kill but they took it down quite quickly. It must of been a change they made because people probably kept getting wiped out.
