New Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods Screenshots Revealed

Dreamcatcher Interactive has sent us three new screenshots today of their upcoming expansion, Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods. Take a look:

As the official Gothic 3 Add On, Forsaken Gods takes you a step further into the fantastical world of this epic RPG series. With intoxicating new quests, monsters, armor and weapons, this gaming experience offers a sense of intense realism, provides 15-20 hours of non-stop gameplay and introduces an improved combat system.

The screenshots provide a first look at the improved graphics quality and realistic environments in this exciting new chapter of the Gothic series.

It's a shame in which condition Gothic 3 came out, hopefully it will be different with this one.

Gothic III, the normal game, was nearly unplayable because of bugs and issues, when it came out.

Yepp, with the newest patch it is really enjoyable.

The first and second gothic games were hard to get into... they were even more difficult to beat once you managed to get the hang of the annoying User Interface.

God I loved them.

Gothic III is what killed the series for me. It was like Ultima 9. The bugs made it so unplayable I wanted to cry every-time I got the urge to play it. At this point I'm indifferent to the new patch. I still have problems with black screen hard-crashes.

So I called it quits with III, and went back to Gothic II. I'm still enjoying it to this day.

Gothic II + Night of the Raven is the best Singleplayer-RPG-bundle out there. At least there are no annoying killer-wild pigs, I think Dairuka knows what I'm talking about.

I've had nightmares about Wild Pigs that can one shot you from behind, and Liches that can instant-gib you through two walls. :cry:
