I don't see the logic here, you take the worst thing from CoD4 and wants to put it in BF2 to make it better?

I can see some of the appeal it would have: one AT could take down helis, guns would actually make respectable damage and A2A missiles could take a jet down in one shot. Of course, theory has a way of turning nasty in practice...

I think most people would prefer an in game function similar to the demo record in the half life source engine

The Blackhawk guns will not be back. If you want to stat pad and spam go do it in another game.

Make a non ranked server and mod the Blackhawk guns. There, no stat padding.

The Booster packs were released in March and July 2006, and they were £6. I think personally, it'd be great if they would give them away. I can't see them making DICE alot of money anymore, so why not improve their standing with the community by releasing these maps.

Special Forces would be unlikely, as that brings alot more to the game than the boosters. But Warlord is Normal BF2's Karkand. People would play Great Wall for the niche of it being the Great wall of China, and quite frankly, Operation Road Rage is kick ***.

There are some silly people in here, who are talking about things that aren't relevant to what could be included in the patch, such as the BF3 discussion.

I wonder if the patch will be out before or after Heroes, because Heroes is due for release in late summer, which i'd say is July/August. This has been announced a week ago, so give it another couple of weeks for the release?

Speaking as someone who bought the boosters (in the Booster Pack Collection disc) I think most of us would be happy to see the boosters given away now if it increased the number of servers running the maps (especially if mixed with the vanilla maps instead of just a 3-map rotation).

While I can't say 100% that there will be a BF3, I would say it's a fair bet there is going to be, BF3 was only mentioned as an example to put in to perspective another comment. How this is "idiotic" and contradicting myself, as opposed to someone writing off the sequel to the game they have been playing for years and continue to play (and even bother to visit forums about it) before it's released is beyond me.

Reducing the thread to a personal slanging match, suggests perhaps it's your posts that are idiotic or made after not reading the thread correctly. If you find threads speculating about the possibilities of the features/tweaks of a new patch, perhaps you shouldn't read the thread, if it's going to make you react aggressively. Just a suggestion son.

Maybe because there is nothing else out there to beat it but when it does we will leave.

Then it can't be that bad then can it? If a 3 year old game is the best game of it's type around and you are still playing it because "there's nothing better around", by definition that would mean it's a good/decent game. At the very least it would make it the best of the worst, in which case I'd suggest the problem isn't with the games industry and the games available but perhaps some of the gamers and their expectations.

I'm willing to bet a lot of the moaners and whiners will be the first to get BF3, even if it's just to moan about how crap it is. Theres just no pleasing some people.

I think there are issues with BF2, but to be honest for what it's meant to be, a wide-scale relaxed realism FPS, I think its a good attempt. Especially when you considered it pioneered the online stats and award system. I think the worst problems with the game all stem back to some of the people playing it. For every thing DICE try to fix, the idiots just find a new way to exploit the game and annoy other gamers.

BF 3... Might as well just call it BF 2.5
