this kinda came out of nowhere so I dunno, wont believe it till I see an official confirmation

but anyway, all I need from them to fix is the J10s, flares, and loose missiles

I don't think they'll even attempt to fix the hit reg coz Im sure that's one of the bigger problems and at this point.............I dunno

I was playing last night and I saw a missile from a j10 make a 90 degree turn and hit my chopper

Well they did patch 2142 recently....could be related somehow.

But when does he say new, exclusive maps and a patch? All he says is big news for BF2 on the 23rd (which probably is a new patch) but where'd he talk about maps?

In fact, I'm willing to wager that it'll be BF2's undoing.

I hope this is true.. I want a new BF2 Patch, but I hope it does more than just adding new maps.. I want BUG FIXES! Please EA/DICE, I know you can do it!

Please, do the following (I will love you ):

* Implement the "Highway Tampa" map in the patch
* Fix server info bug (server name/ip not always showing on the loading screen and on the "Server info" tab on scoreboard)
* CTD when picking up a kit
* SQUAD BUG - No squads can be made, or only 1-2 can be made. To fix this, the server have to be restarted :/..
* Balance the J-10 vs F-35b
* Add Widescreen support?


Please EA/DICE, I hope you read this and I hope you fix those issues.. If you do, DAMN I WILL LOVE YOU!! You are the best game developers out there, you can do this! Battlefield2 rocks! It is the best game ever! =)

Yes, it has.. But it is a extra file now.. I want it to be included in the patch, so we dont need to download a extra file...

How? The worst thing they did was break the PAC gunship spawn, and they actually released a hotfix unlike some other stuff that remained for ages.

I will believe it when I see the news post on Monday :p

But indeed it dose sound good, I do hope thou it fixes more problems than it brakes and adds a few more things for mod support, some of the little extras in 2142 ported back to BF2 would be really nice, ie, weapon sway, destructible children etc

I have to agree the Jets need ballanceing, as well as the AA needs fixing, as well as fixes for Choppers takeing two tank rounds to kill! Thats so not realistic! I mean we got 120/125mm tank rounds and you can't shoot down a frikken Chopper? Thats lame.

If the AA missiles are unfixable please replace them with some new Manual AAA Cannons alal BF:BC because they work, and we will finaly kill those choppers/jets, and be able to tell if the guy is hacking and boot the sucker!

On top of all of this I think we need new server rules, and new enfrocements of them in the game and with PB. People should be taged as stat padders ingame, as well as people who cheat should be taged as Known Cheaters by PB and booted without Server concent, or even a notifcation.

In short you cheat you get the boot! It's that simple! Even if your showing it to another player it's no eccuse for commiting the act and ruining everybodies fun. IMHO Sence we can't blow up hacker PCs we should at least be able to tag their IP and track them down.

Another Thing is Jeeps need to have their heavy guns buffed a bit, and the Squad Level MGs need to make use of the same system they have in BF:2142 the hone fire thing works great and means you don't have to use aim bots to shoot a machine gun.

Another thing that would help is better looking X-hairs! I mean BF:2142 agian has a great HUD set up, if BF2 could get some new and more COD:4ish X-hairs I think I would play it again.

The Last thing I can think of is Tank shells need to blow up Mines, or at least make it so the Mines cook off after a while. There should also be steps takeing to nullify the Jihad Jeep tactics, and another attempt to fix the Bunny Hopping syndrom! Also Infantry Only needs to be regulated to Small City maps like in BF:2142. It keeps the servers from runing maps like Wake Island, or The bigger maps in the game with 64 player Sniper fests that kill the game for many hardcore gamers.

All of this would make BF2 in my eyes a plyable game agian. BTW: The only reason Choppers/Jets got such over the top buffs was because the fly boys were pissed that we shot them down so much. IE when the game came out it took 1 shot and a chopper was dead from a Tank Cannon, 2 shots from AA missiles, and the Mini guns/HMGs on choppers were perfict! The only problem with the way the game was is the CHopper repair spaming was a major issue. They fixed that now so Transport choppers should get their uber HMGs/Mini Guns back. For craps sake they can't kill anything other then Jeeps, and they still take 50 bullets to do it.
