More World at War Screenshots Released

ModTheater has posted up six new screenshots today from Call of Duty: World at War that were taken from yet another German website. Check them out below:

Glad you posted these higher quality screenies as there was somewhat of a backlash against the game b/c of those 'leaked' lower quality screenies. Game is looking great.

Yep, the Xbox magazine article said they were going for a grittier, darker game. In fact, the flamethrower will make soldier's faces (skin) melt off as you hear their horrible screams. It's not done in a cheesy way, it's done in a realistic, horrifying way.

Okay don't take these CAPS as personal to you, this is to everyone who keeps making some comments where the answer is already there:

READ THE MAGAZINE ARTICLE!!!!!! People keep asking questions and making comments that they would already know the answer to if they READ THE ARTICLE!!! Whiskey's said it to people numerous times, I have also, as has Spawndemon and a couple of other people, READ THE ARTICLE, READ THE ARTICLE, READ THE ARTICLE! It's a great article that explains the game, it's elements, and it will get you excited about the game. Please enough of it's just another WWII game.

A lot of fans of the CoD series were not happy of the move to modern for the series b/c they all said, "Just another modern shooter." Once again, I know CSS and BF2 players have joined in the CoD series b/c of this game, but realize that EVERY CoD has been WWII except CoD4.

ooo man any M rated WWII game will be good, judging from the screenshots it will be M. I really enjoyed Medal of Honor Pacific Assault so I will want this.

Flamethrower FTW. Muahahahahaaaa!!! :evil: Hopefully it'll be a selectable weapon in MP (which SOOOO many people have been asking for ever since the MOH days).

And if they do indeed follow COD4's lead and make this an "M" game, then they'll definitely have more leeway to make it a bit more gritty, dark, and intense.

IM so Primed for this game on PC! Im 1 of those in that age cat that likes the WWII games, don't get me wrong CoD:4 is the best game out there and I love it. I just keep thinking of this (CoD:4+WWII= CoD:WW:yay:). Its not that Im going to stop playing CoD:4 but if I have to pick I would go more for a WWII game, and when I need a break Ill play CoD:4.

I like that they show the 2 diff type of Marines uniforms the earlier all camo uniforms that faded to white when washed(thats y that uniform was skraped) and the newer type of flat green with camo helmet that we are all used to seeing. If in the game the Marines are in the all camo uniforms at 1st then switched over the the all flat green uniform then Treyarch is fallowing the history, witch is good for as WWII buffs:thumbsup:.

I don't get it I thought that makers of Cod series said that they will never will make another WW2 game. Reason being that that "MOD" had been played to death. Pictures do look awesome but it is what it is a polished another WW2 game. I am a big fan of CoD series and probably will get this game, but was kind of hoping that next CoD game will be some of what different.

This is a different developer (Treyarch), it is Infinity Ward that said they would never do a WWII game again.

aka, another money maker! I thought the same about CoD4 before it came out, just another modern shooter for nerds who think they have elite military knowledge, ah my M16 will pwnz0rz you, I own at CSS and BF2 b/c I am a virtual soldier. Anyway, I was proven wrong with a great game. So keep an open mind with games. A good game is a good game, simple as that. :) Nobody is going to force anyone to play it, but I know a LOT of gamers who are wanting another good WWII shooter b/c while they enjoy CoD4, they're missing the WWII gameage. Nothing like shooting someone with a bolt-action rifle. :)
