A brand new total conversion mod has been announced today for Call of Duty 4 titled Desolation. Here's a little bit about it as well as the first renders:
Desolations terrifying atmosphere, visuals, and game-play have been designed from the ground up to shock and horrify the player. Focusing 3 months after a genetically mutated Anthrax strand, "c-Nome" was released at Trinity, California you will find yourself as part of the last remaining survivors struggling to come to terms with the hell like chaos that claws at your very existence. Armed with very little and up against a terrifying foe, do you have what it takes to stand your ground?
WIP Desolation Features:
• Blood curdling visuals including
• Complete rework of player models: Infected/Survivors
• Completely Replacing Cod4 Guns and knifes with 6 new street worthy weapons
• Desolate ambient sounds and effects suitable for a post apocalyptic atmosphere
• Rework of interface and night vision
• 100% new gore based artwork for the Cod4 Menu system
• Randomized Undead classes with varied attributes such as abilities to climb walls briefly and withstand large amounts of damage
• Mass overhaul of Gore FX and Textures including Blood stains and blury vision when sprinting
• Inbuilt anti-camp system, however not needed except under extremely rare situations due to Desolations Undead Classes
• Group based gameplay ideal for situations where varied Undead classes are approaching
