Especially when so many custom map servers are running in HC, and using some weird mod. It would be nice to just play custom maps in regular mode without all the extra fluff to worry about.

getting something for nothing can some times be a "half measure" in a way a would rather pay a few pennies for a map pack in the hope of getting other things as well. like more purks & ranks to work on! something to give the game a bit more longevity till bf3:salute:

1.6 Patch & Maps have apparently been released: http://download.nvidia.com/downloads...PatchSetup.exe

Some folks on the IW.com forums say it is legit and they're trying them out now. Those who posted said that it appears the new kill cams may not have made it into the patch (which makes sense, considering 402 mentioned it was causing a major bug, or maybe it will be in a server-side patch), but they say the the HC/SC filter is in. :)

I'm downloading now as well.

I just successfully installed it. It's legit. :)

The new maps work, and there is a filter for HC/SC/Oldschool. I reset my filters and there are about 10 servers up and running the new maps already.

Your call Spawn...might be an idea to at least grab it quick before the link gets taken down...you can sort out "official" posting later. Muahahahaahaaaa!!!
