    Bfheroes.org & Crispy Gamer Interviews

Two new interviews have been released by bfheroes.org and Crispy gamer talking to Ben Cousins and James Salt respectively.
Crispy Gamer: In simple terms, what is Battlefield Heroes and how does it connect to other games in the Battlefield franchise?

James Salt: It's a cartoony, simplified Battlefield game that we want to make sure appeals to everybody. We are hoping to make it very appealing to the mainstream by making it free and by taking away some of the complex stuff that was in Battlefield II and Battlefield 2142. It's still the same kind of game but a lot of the complexity has been taken out. For example, you won't get shot in the face the moment you spawn because the weapons don't do as much damage as in other games, there are no insta-kills. When you get hit, you'll have time to react. It'll be like you have a limited shield, and when you get hit you might be able to run off and heal.

Crispy Gamer: So what are they fighting about?

Salt: Cycling results from the Olympics.

BFHeroes.org: Will buildings and/or other obstacles be destructible?

There is no world destruction planned for Battlefield Heroes. This is in part to keep the system requirements down and also to make the game easier to learn and master. If we asked players to have to negotiate constantly changing terrain we wouldn’t be able to call it a casual game

BFHeroes.org: What similarities with Battlefield 1942 will we see in Battlefield Heroes?

We focused on those particular events that have been dubbed “Battlefield Moments” with Battlefield Heroes. So one could say that the main similarity is the potential for things to go horribly right in unexpected ways

That's plain stupid. OSK's should be possible if you're skilled, although I do agree with a "dome of death" like POE2 has where if you try to spawnrape uncaps you die. I live for OSKs. So, if you're a pro sniper, I wouldn't get it. Of course, if we get a no-recoil SVD, then it's no big deal. Skill should make you better, however it should be easy to attain it (having EA run classes for example).
