Re: Race Driver: GRID Demo
I think we are missing the point here. GRID isn't meant to be a simulator. It's not meant to provide the ultimate driving sensation and the individuality of each each cars feel.
It's meant to be about fast and furious racing. Close contact play and exciting damage and crashes. So, in a way I agree with both of you.
Kenji, your wrong in terms of Gran Turismo. That is a driving simulator, it simulates the car not what it feels like to crash into a wall at 150mph. Simulators don't focus on damage as it's not a major aspect of the game. As Chris said, games like Flight Sim prove this.
However, at the same time Chris is wrong. This is a fresh game. Not many other games on the market offer the excitement in this area of racing, and the drifting beats NFS for sure. People will find this fun, maybe not you, but certainly the folks who like a blast of excitement. It's not fair to laugh at peoples opinions, and it's not something you should do. DIRT was meant to be more or a simulator (although, not completely) than GRID, and thus, it isn't fair to compare them. The only similarities are that they contains cars and use the same game engine.
lets please leave this argument at that.
