To sum it up:

- Excellent engaging gameplay
- Great voice acting/sounds
- Good graphics
- Large array of modifications

Why don't you try Half-Life and see what you think of it?

Anyway. Its not good for the graphics (although they are good). I like it for the gameplay and story line. It keeps you interested the entire time. There are lots of innovations and style unique to the HL games. It never got boring or repetitious for me.

The other stuff is just icing on the cake.

Also, the orange box is only $40. Not that much to shell out really and you get PORTAL and TF2. Both of which are amazing games also.
