Like any good succesful developer, one hand on the money, one hand on making the most epic game that the other hand lets them.
Yeah I wouldn't mind modernish combat zone again, as long as its completely different to BF2, in the way, real conflicts, more realistic maps, but still balanced, fun to the play, more intelligent, but not complex caps, with a map that possibley has a border zone on it for capping, where you get bonus' for being within your own border, so less defensive weapons required, or better bunker busting attacking vehicles and methods possible.
Maybe to make it modern but real conflicts they need to look at things such as the Falklands and other small conflicts in 80s/90s.
E.G. Sierra Leone, Grenada, Beirut, Panama, Balkans, etc.
But i doubt they'll risk it *shrug* been plenty of games on gulf war previously, just never any really good ones that i'm aware of (Excluding total conversion mods).
