The Battlefield Heroes team has released some new updates regarding the technical aspects of the game. Here is what they had to say:

What Platform is Heroes for?
Battlefield Heroes is currently being developed for Windows XP and Windows Vista.

What kind of computer do I need to run Heroes?
We’re currently aiming for a minimum requirement of…
• Operating System: Windows XP or Windows Vista
• CPU: 1.0 GHz
• RAM: 512 Mb (1Gb on Windows Vista)
• Video Card: 64Mb DirectX compliant video card with at least pixel shader 2.0 support
• Hard Drive space: 1Gb of space is required to install the game
• Internet connection: 256kbit Cable/DSL connection

How will I get Heroes?
1. First, you’ll register on the Battlefield Heroes website.
2. Click the “Play Now” button to launch the Heroes Updater
3. Wait while the Heroes Updater downloads, installs, and launches the game.

That’s it! You can take a moment to customize your Hero or jump right into battle!

How will new content be added to Battlefield Heroes?
New content such as maps, weapons and clothing items will be added continuously throughout Battlefield Heroes lifetime. The content we create will be heavily driven by community feedback. When new content is available it will be automatically downloaded when you launch the game.

With such low specs and everybody downloading this, more people will be paying attention to the whole Battlefield series for sure.

i wonder what max players in a server is. from the sys reqs it doesn't seem like it allows for huge 64 man servers.

It's gonna be in a much smaller scale than in the other BF games... So I'd guess the player limit would be somewhere up to 32p.
