See, people think that because consoles have "High def" that its good, which makes more people buy it. The thing they dont know is, pc players can just switch their GFx card and make it better, something you cant do on the consoles.

But consoles such as Xbox 360 and PS3 can cost the same as a decent graphics card that can play high definition.

And, get this, the graphics card used in the PS3 is the same power as a 7900gtx. The reason for the inflated cost is the manufacturing process, but, it goes to show that hardware can go a long way if it is used properly.

All consoles games have done is dumb down the PC gaming world so far. It's having a completely negative influence on it.

Unfortunately, consoles are the way of the future, because it's cheaper and easier to produce games for them. Thus, we're back at point #1, it's all about the money.

For FPS maybe, but they have reinvented the world of racing games such as Gran Turismo and action 3rd person action titles like Grand Theft Auto.
