Four New Maps Revealed for XBOX360 & PS3

Over on FourZeroTwo's Blog website, he has posted videos hosted by Gamespy. The maps include Broadcast, Killhouse, Creek, and ChinaTown.
As promised this past weekend, a full preview of the upcoming Variety Map Pack for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare went live today on IGN, TeamXbox, and Gamespy. Along with four new exclusive gameplay footage videos.

Be sure to check out the full articles as they go indepth on everything you need to know about the upcoming new maps. In addition it looks like we’ve finally been able to narrow down pricing and a closer release date for the map pack with it hitting in early to mid-April for 800 MS Points with similar pricing for PS3.

IGN, TeamXbox and GameSpy all posted up articles on their testing of these maps. To read IGN's article, click Here. To read GameSpy's article, click Here. To read TeamXbox's article of the new maps coming, click Here.

Can't wait for them to be on the PC, 'specially the Carentan remake!

Last I read, they hadn't decided if they were going to do it for PC or not.

You see the quote from 402 in the comments for that blog?

@ Mitch: The PC will be getting the new kill cams and such in the 1.6 Patch which is currently awaiting it’s testing cycle. We’re still trying to work out how the map packs can work on PC.

Yeah, the problem is PS3 and XBOX360 players will need to pay for the maps; theres no way to really have the PC Community pay for the maps unless they put it out as an expansion pack, which would be stupid to have a 4 map expansion.

Agreed just how BF2 and BF2142 did, they released stupid expansions that hardly anyone plays anymore because now the original maps are coming back popular. But they might hold out on an expansion because they did say something about adding more missions to SP, so it wouldn't surprise me if they did release 4-6 maps in an expansion with more sp, but idk just a thought.

I just feel expansion packs take away from games in my true opinion when it comes to multiplayer. Single player, rock on but when you split a community by having half play the original and half play an expansion, it ruins servers and ruins the popularity. If they would somehow merge any new MP maps/guns to be in the stand alone COD4 game, that would rock...

But if they did that, they'd need to release it for free so people with just the original game can download those maps..etc.. which brings back the fact it will need to be an expansion

@Aki - We want to bring the maps to the PC, but right now they’re confirmed as DLC for Xbox 360 / PS3 and we’re looking at our options for PC versions of them.

why can't people just use the bf1942 model and release a new map for free every few releases (coral sea, aberdeen, twin rivers, battle of britain)

Troybob, you're making me seriously consider reinstalling 1942 right about now.

Me, too. I'm going to reinstall BF1942 when I get home. Oh yeah, I can't forget about DCON Final! I hope people are still playing...

"Our main focus is to keep supporting the game as long as the players are supporting us"

That was said by IW. Read that carefully, they will keep supporting the players as long as they give them support aka money. The PC probably will not give them anymore money and that is why they released the SDK so they could shut us up with the "Well, you have custom maps." deal.

Wow, that was a short-lived series! Guess it was fun while it lasted.

                              they are still playing.

and install it! if the numbers stay high in bf1942 maybe EA will go back to what worked! (plus it's super fun).

To be honest though - I really liked Road to Rome (not as good as bf1942 but WAY better than secret weapons)
