MP Karkand (Beta) Map Released

Another BF2 remake map has been released today by STING, one that I'm sure will be a favorite. Take a look:

We are currently running an open public beta of -|HR|-STING's BF2 Karkand map port bringing with it some modernized changes from his CoD2 version. This map supports all gametypes, and we've tried to sort out most of the bugs but may have missed a few.

Issues we know about, CTF flags are floating up in the air, minimap is off centered, but for the most part that was all so far.

We've tried to include some fun elements (C4 is useful finally) and a few secret spots (there are spots you NEED to blow up to enter/exit..hee hee hee).

Now all we need is Camp G from BF2142 and I will be very happy.

huh? i understand the "beta" aspect, but seriously, thats no Karkand, its barely recognizable.

Well its about time for karkand....soo what bf2 map is next? perhaps wake island? or dragon valley?

I believe someone mentioned on the IW forums that they were working on the Warlord map from BF2 for future.

IDK, I've been playing a lot of BF2 and BF2 mods recently and I'd rather that they didn't attempt to remake more maps from Battlefield games.

I'd like to see more maps remade from games which are similar to CoD. That could be other CoD titles, or MoH, etc.

Also, why not take those prefabs and make something unique?

No more beta maps, puh-leeze! When they are ready, release them.

Kind of proves that BF2's level design was excellent despite the huge number of complaints people conjure up.
