Call of Duty HQ has posted up some interesting news today on the XBOX version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Take a look here:
Activision today confirmed that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will have downloadable content for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. The maps will be released in the form of map packs over the Xbox Live Marketplace and Playstation Network.
“We’ve demonstrated our commitment to delivering the best multiplayer experience in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and that continues with our plans for new downloadable content” says Robert Bowling, a.k.a fourzerotwo, Infinity Ward's Community Manager.
Whether this means PC fans can expect map content for the PC version of the game or not is still unknown. Obviously games are designed on PC's and then converted to the consoles, so there is a good chance we'll see some PC content as well. The only question is how Infinity Ward plans to distribute their content; whether it will be free over Xbox Live and Playstation Network, or if it will cost Microsoft Dollars.
