I offered up this idea in a thread in the maps section I think, but this seems like a good place for it...

Suggestion: Custom Map Server there seems to be a lot of interest and enthusiasm here as the custom maps come out. Maybe the TotalCOD4 Server should run only custom maps, or maybe if a 2nd server could be set up, that one would be custom only.

Maybe lower time/frag limits so that the maps would rotate quicker, and if enough people thought a map wasn't good enough, it could be taken out of rotation and replaced with another.

I think it would be nice to have an easy-to-find place to play these maps, instead of having to hunt around for different custom map servers.

Asking what EVERYONE wants in a server is just asking for a thread derail... Even within clans you have people wanting different things and I can be the first one to say its pointless. Just set it up with where the majority are playing the most and thats in TeamDeath Match mode with full 32players all weapons and perks etc etc...

Thats the way my first one is setup..the other is two maps, wide open face to face battles and fast action so you don't get bored trying to find people if the server isn't populated very much.

Had a few good rounds with the TGN guys, although the lag is somewhat annoying..

Though its not perfect, turning auto team balance on would be helpful. Had it get a bit onesided and no one would switch teams. People started disconnecting.

Yeah especially when we play hq mode,had this one guy earlier kept switching to w/e side had the hq so he could get the points.

I think Spawn Deh Man is being abused by most of the people on here. The number of people i have seen with sigs showing that they Knifed him amuses me. Evem ThQp even has one.
