But here is the thing. You say Quality maps take time.. you call placing xmas lights and gifts in a map that already exists a Quality map?

And it isn't all about me..its about the community of players that wish to play Official maps not custom maps which require a download of a Mod to work.

I've only seen a handful of people wanting this, and it's mostly users that came from the BF series. Their idea of support being the devs releasing maps (rather than fixing bugs). You also do not need to download a mod, you already have a mod located on your computer, ModWarfare, it's the server administrator's choice whether to use it or not.

A patch can also be downloaded from a fast source other than the game server itself..

Maps can also be downloaded from an external, faster, source. It's the user's choice whether to download them out of game or in-game. It's very simple, the user could just watch a CoD file site and download whatever they like. Then, when they go to join a server, they may only have to download a couple maps.

Or, if they don't like the current maps, don't like downloading in-game, and don't like searching for maps (which isn't hard), they could just uninstall and return their copy of CoD4.

I know one thing. IW has to release a new map sometime for free. Because they released the game with night vision. But there are no maps to use it on yet. So expect 2 or 3 night maps for IW.

HeyDude is right.. IW will have to put out a few night maps to make use of night vision.. its not about what he or I or anyone wants- its part of the game that is completely useless right now. I expected more before Blizzard took over, but hey...we might end up seeing wizards and swords in the next patch before we see a new map.

Yes, and it has rain for a graphical effect to go with it.. but what about a Night City map or a night map in a forest or something along those lines..official and not custom.

Just because there is some feature, which was put in for SP, lands itself in MP does not mean they have to do anything. Get your head out of your arse already.

Your changes in font doesn't mean you know what your talking about..ok.

And yes it does mean they have to support the features within both aspects of the game.

Don't fish for negative responses with the "head in arse" comments either..its nothing but a trolling comment regardless of how you look at it so please don't be thinking you know everything there is about the game or how IW/Blizzard thinks with map design in mind.

Well im pissed i went to fast when reading the notes and updated and now there is only 1 map that has people in it, and evertyime i try to join it, just like almost all of the other servers on 1.4 even, it just says :
"awaiting connection...2...3...
awaiting key code vailidation..."
does anyone know how to fix that? usually i go in and click verify in the settings, and then sometimes it will work, but everything seems messed up. do you know how to fix this? cause now even when i press verify, it still isnt working.

You should've made a post about this in the Support section...

But anyway, it sounds like something is blocking your connection (there are thousands of servers out there running v1.5 that you should be able to see and connect to). The 2 most common issues are:

1) Be sure you update Punkbuster. If you don't know how, go to the website at www.evenbalance.com, and read the FAQ. Or do a search on this forum, as the question has been answered many times.

2) If you are behind a router, you need to ensure the right ports are open (again, try a search). If you're behind a firewall program, you need to adjust the settings to allow COD4 and Punkbuster free access.

well my connection is okay im sure of that, but the real problem is is that i need to verify the COA EVERYTIME! thats just the problem so i will search it.

If you were playing fine before, and just patched the game, it's likely that you may only need to restart your PC. If you have not played the game before, then you first need to download and install the v1.4 patch (which contains previous patches), then install v1.5.

If you try the above suggestions with no luck, put the following into Google:

looking for iw3mp.exe

and try some of the suggestions given by other people.
