That is fantastic animation work, a real cut above. :) I know how hard it is to make a natural looking animation in bf2 so kudos to a job well done.

@ ExitChicago - LMAO . And I'm laughing at you...the way you laugh at someone who just slipped over on wet grass or accidently blew a milk drink out their nose. Thanks for a real treat...I haven't laughed this hard since I was little girl.

I bet you have no problem playing a WW2 mod on the Nazi side. By your reasoning you shouldn't even play Battlefield 2...look at what the US has just done to the middle east and its citizens but I guess its okay to depict that conflict right?

High horse be gone. This is a game, not a political activist forum. You shouldn't be playing games if you can't tell the diference. If you don't like the gameplay, say so. If you don't like the animations (the point of this update moron) then say so. Want to argue about religious and political world issues? - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
It's just a game and a particularly talented animation artist is showing off the hard work he's put in for YOUR benefit hypocrite. Sorry for going off topic IDF team.

I guess I am a hypocrite then and I don't care. Let's make a WWII mod where the object is to find, collect, and kill every Jew in the Warsaw ghetto - Or better yet a mod where the object is to find and defuse suicide bombers before they blow up a Disco in Bali.

Hey, How about a firefighter mod with the object being you have to climb the stairway in WTC2 and rescue burning people before they jump and or the towers collapse.

Unlike you - I'm not attacking anyone personally by calling them names like "moron". I'm making the point that it's offensive to me, and if you're going to be involved in the making of something that is as volatile and sensitive of an issue as the IDF and the "War of Independence", then be prepared for criticism.

I am sure these guys are talented modders and honestly don't see the big deal, but just as I wouldn't expect TGN to promote any of the offensive mods I made up, I don't think they should be promoting this one either.

Thats all I'm going to say on this subject.

i can understand how it might be offensive to your personally, but you need to distance fantasy from reality and not let it bother you.
if you don't like it, then don't download it when its released.

as for this bit of your reply tho'...
I'm not attacking anyone personally by calling them names like "moron".
you misunderstand, its not an attack, as far as I can tell its an accurate description....

you sir, are a moron who mistakenly seems to think that by making mountains out of molehills you will somehow make a difference....

if you are looking for anti-semitism, look elsewhere... perhaps try the world news section of the nforce forums for starters

A guy shows off his animation skill for a game mod + you turning it into political/religious morality issue = moron.

Its not an attack if its true.

might I point out the irony of you saying this to a couple of guys who spend countless hours of our time working on a mod that at the be all and end all, is basically "playing toy soldiers"?

in all seriousness, I dislike the realworld event in israel/palistine too but this is just a game and should be treated as such.

if this was classed as a sim it would be a different story, but personally, I play games as a distraction from the real world and dont bear any real life actualities in mind when I play games.

              games =/= real-life

This is a perfectly relevant update.

Everyone should respect each others personal views and opinions, but with that being said this is not a political forum - and this is not the place to make a modification for a video game into a political argument.

Those of you who are in the wrong will be receiving / have received a PM.

No more personal attacks. No more arguing. You may continue to discuss this update and what you think of the new animations, what it adds to the mod, etc.

Keep it within the forum rule boundaries.
I will be keeping a close eye on this thread.

OK, I will put an end to this subject right here and right now.
Our mod is about an historical event, in this case - war, we do not deal with the outcomes, and we do not deal with the causes, we are here to simply re-create the battles.
The name of the mod is left to our consideration, we will change it as we see fit,
we are aware of the sensitivity of the subject, and all of the criticism that follows it.

And thank you guys for your support, keep a lookout for our next update.

I echo what Tren said. Many members of the TGN staff have this thread on their watchlist.

Take your grievances elsewhere and keep the thread on track.

Very nice looking animations. I myself, am working on some new 3p and 1p animations for EoD as well. If there is anything you guys need from any of our weapons that might fit the weapons you have. Just let me know. It might be easier to take a current EoD animation and rework it for an IDF weapon if they are similiar in operation, than to create the entire thing from scratch.
