    Mod Tools v1.1 Patch Released

Infinity Ward has released a small patch for the mod tools that fixes a couple of bugs. Take a look here:
Fix for shader_bin error in CoD4Radiant and CoD4EffectsEd.

Note that CoD4 Mod Tools requires your video drivers and DirectX to be up to date. For certain applications to work correctly a DX9 video card is required, even though the game itself will run on a DX8 video card. The CoD4 Mod Tools do not work in Windows Vista, although some users have reported some success running them in Windows XP Compatibility Mode.

Be sure to post any feedback you have on this new patch right here.

There's no actual ETA on v1.5 yet, but they are working on it (ie. one of the major points in it will be to fix map glitches that have been discovered, and more upgrades to the server browser). Stay tuned.

            Thanks for the update, Whisky.

I guess my big issue is the CTD at start (iw3mp.exe has encountered a problem...) that none of the sound/game reinstall fixes have worked on for me, although the server browser definitely needed improvement too.

Do you know if the Realtek/Miles/Vista problem is being addressed in 1.5?

I have no information on the Realtek problem specifically, sorry.

They are probably aware of it, but just in case, it never hurts to send an email with as much information as you can in it, to "fourzerotwo" (IW Community Representative) at: info@infinityward.com
