Punkbuster updates itself constantly...that's how it's able to identify new hax.

Find the PB folder on your PC, find the pbsetup.exe program, and run it frequently to check for updates.

All the fixes in the world are useless to me without pubbers being able to find my servers.

wot pishes me off about new patchs is that you lose all your favorite's in your browser.
The game runs fine and did from day one. lets leave it be.
Theres only one thing i want from a patch and that is a search function to find servers.

The game had several issues that needed to be addressed, and to be prepped for the upcoming Map/Mod Tools. Patching, and loss of some data/bookmarks is a fact of life.

If you use XFire, you can save your favourites there, in the Servers tab.

have they changed the snipers because like im hitting people int he upper chest with the R700 and it aint doing ****
apart from tht yeah its good like the christmas one,
the server browser i thought was ok apart from like two things the map isnt always correct but isnt such a big deal to be honest
but what got me was that the browser said there was 23/24 and think i can get in but says its full grrr lol

That could be because the ones left were private slots...I think the browser shows you total slots. So, a server can show up as having room, but as far as the public goes, still be "full".

Anybody else purchase the game off Steam? The patch download is just not starting

Edit: Never mind, I need to launch the game for the download to start.

I've read on the steam forums, that it's not out for steam dL yet. Some put up a fix so that you can dL it from file servers and NOT wait for steam update.. but you can't play your sp though.
As for the 1.4 release, i like the map add.. hope to see more map additions in the next "patch", but also fix the server browser (favs) issues.
