I've already uploaded almost 3GB's worth of data....and I'm just now at 600MB's for download....
Do you sleep or ever leave your house?

Just take your ADD drugs and go holiday shopping, watch a little TV, go play with your dog, take a nap, study, or something like that.

I'm not familiar with torrents and if I do use them, I uninstall them immediately after I'm finished, but it said something like 0 (370) under the "seeders" column and I wasn't getting the file.

It's ok though. I got the client in a PW protected ZIP from my GSP.

Huh? The plane has UAV?! That's not very WWII-like... as a matter of fact, the ability to spot targets and have them show up on your map is a bit non-WWII-like as well. Oh well, guess you have to balance realism and arcade style to make it a little more enjoyable for everyone, but I still think the UAV radar plane is a littler over the top.

        Cheers mate

Btw, 2 cool tutorial videos have been released talking about infantry, vehicle and aircraft combat. It goes through weaponary and lots of other stuff, check em out, they're about 7 minutes long with lots of FH2 footage!

Now this has absolutely nothing to do with the FH team at all...it has to do with the community. I am currently uploading at my max while I'm only downloading at a third of that rate.....and that's because of the community. I'm doing my part, so why can't ya'll do yours?

          Kind of disappoints me TBH.

And no, this isn't about any type of configuration that I may have wrong on my end...trust me, I know better.
I don't usually use torrents and I don't want my transfer speed comprimised, so I limited my upload transfer rate to 1kb/s (I think - not even sure if I did that right). After all the seeders disappeared and I wasn't receiving, my GSP came up with a PW protected ZIP on an FTP so I got it there. Please mod teams - stop using torrents as your exclusive release method. It sucks.

Please keep using them. It's faster than web servers and even the simplest mided person can get a torrent working

For those having connection problems. Just change the port and open it in your router.

An explanation of port forwarding and the necessary steps to set up port forwarding in your router.

They shouldn't be using it as their EXCLUSIVE distribution method. When you have no one seeding, like what happened yesterday, no one can get the client.

Gross, there are currently 1061 people seeding, 750 leeching. If you get no one, then you have problems.

And, it's not the exclusive distribution channel. It will be hosted on other servers soon.

I jumped on yesterday ~5 PM East coast US time and there were 1500 leeching and 540 seeding. You may have to configure your firewall/router.

With mods getting larger and larger -- POE2 is now over 2 GBs -- torrents will be the easiest way to get these large files out to as many people as possible for free. Once you get the hang of it and tweak it, it works really well.

I had a good amount last night of seeders but still was slow, then I tried on another computer on another ISP and it did the same thing. Ports are not a issue and the computers are in top notch shape along with connection speeds and yet I still saw very slow speeds so it wasn't internet issues since both the cable and DSL connection I used had great routing, pings, speed test results last night.

so I agree with Gross, there should be a alternate download such as the old fashion way. Torrents are ok and I don't mind using them if thats all there is, but its not a bad request or a unreasonable request...just a small request. Now I did get it pretty fast last night thanks to FMJ, but people such as him or others could have been asked to distribute the file through their personal FTP etc if asked and most would accept..

Ok let me get this straight, you expect EVERYONE that downloads this torrent, that once they get it just sit there like a dumba$$es and keep on seeding the thing instead of playing the game they just downloaded? I admit I see your point some what but its full of holes.. what makes you think he wouldn't download it, stop seeding for a while to play and when he's AFK perhaps seed again? Nothing wrong with that, as I know I do it all the time and I'm sure others here do too. But yeah you must be one of those CLOWNS that downloads a torrent for no other reason but to sit there in your little chair to seed it back to all the other "clowns" you expect to be doing the same.

I hope you see the logic in that so you won't call anyone selfish when you have no idea what that person is really doing.

Well, the game isn't even out yet, so you could still seed. And, it just means that whilst your doing something else or away, just keep it seeding. The more the merrier.

And, sorry, but as files get larger, bit torrent seems more likely to be the way forward

Some file hosters are hosting the passworded client. I know GameArena (Aussie) is.

the game not being out yet is beside the point...

I'm at work on a 45meg pipe and I'm seeding it here just as I am at home..check this out, cause if your having problems getting it when I'm uploading at over 500k/sec then I know you have issues. As for files getting larger etc etc..thats just a excuse that the ISP's such as comcast, verizon and others want you to believe..that gives them no push to give faster speeds for a decent price if not the same as most are paying now...so don't give in to this torrent way will save the world stuff.

Like I've said. At the time, there was no one sending. It was working around 400kb/s and eventually the numbers sending the file went farther and farther down. At the time, it WAS the exclusive distribution channel.

My firewall and router are fine. I was downloading and slowly the seeders disappeared. FTP and major sites like FilePlanet and FileFront work just fine for large DL's.

My point exactly. Torrents are an unreliable way of distributing files. FTP, File Planet, File Front, Modjive.. they're all established, reliable ways to distribute and you're not using up more of your own bandwidth sending the file to other people at the same time.

Of course they are getting larger. Mods are now bigger than full sized games a few years ago!

umm I think you missed the point... but I don't want to get the thread too far off topic.

Ohh and I uploaded another screen shot of the nice torrent speeds I'm getting at work
I think people who are downloading now should enjoy it and thats kinda slow..it will get over 2megs upload in a few mins perhaps faster later on as it keeps going...much better than my 80k at home
