Forgotten Hope 2 Mod Update

I dont understand why some textures have to look like crap. The body, gun and shell casing textures look great i noticed. But the wood boxes, dirt(ground), look like crap!! Is this accidently, purposeful, a must??

the ground looks awful when you compare it to other games but I'm pretty sure its because of the bf2 engine I think if you used really high res textures it would lag out to hell.

yeah most of the newer games have freaky awesome ground textures, and you are completelly right if there was such detail level on the BF engine the game would probably explode, but i ment when comparing to normal BF ground and other mods it looks normal.

i recently played crysis on my 7600GT with med graphics with textures and water on high and..... yyeaaaah i can almost feel the beach sand on my feet heheh

I mean, since BGF wasn that big success after all and most of the players are complaining about the lag on the maps, the huge amount of bugs, the lack of good models and a real balanced gameplay.. probably that's why only 20 guys are playing BGF atm IN THE WHOLE WORLD... I dont think your posts are the correct way of expressing your opinion (neither do mine, if you get the irony) about a yet unreleased mod that looks awesome on those screenshots, but anyways, it's your opinion.

and opinions are allowed to be expressed...First of all...apologies to the FH team for talking about another mod in their thread... Darkpepe I must say that i dont think that your assessment of BGF is a fair one...there are some unbalanced maps where it is impossible to make any headway but there are many maps which are great...well detailed and fun to play...i have found 1 bug and i think the models are very good...I have a good computer so have no problems with the graphical quality of the game..and there are certainly more than 20 people playing their mod at the minute..I dont think that takima in his original post was rude ...he was just pointing out some things that he thought could have been done better.....its his opinion...back on topic great update FH team..yup that german mg guy does look a bit dodgy but i know you will sort it...looking forward to the release

One of the few mods I am the most impressed with, however like all other mods in BF2 and every other game the number of players will dwindle to a handful after a month. Face it, community created content is dead. The days of Counter-Strike and Desert Combat type success in the mod community are gone.

This is NOT a slam on the mod as I consider the work of these guys and several others to be on par with professional shops. Just the whining of an old PC gamer wishing for the old days...
