  • Eve of Destruction 2 Mod Update

Recently posted in our Eve of Destruction 2 mod forums have been some updates showing off new media. Take a look:
Just a little teaser of some upcoming equipment in the next installment of EoD. Yes, as posted, Eve of Destruction is still an active mod. There are a few of us still working hard to keep EoD alive and all of you in the jungle.

The next installment of Eve of Destruction will bring armor and more aircraft into the theater. Several new tank models are currently being introduced into the mod build replacing some current models, as well as, building upon the quality and amount of armor available for use.

In addition to the new armor models. Several new helicopter models have also been introduced to replace current models. These helicopters are more detailed and better representations of the Huey's used within Vietnam. We have also introduced several aircraft into the mod build, courtesy of some of our mod friends within the BF2 Community. Along with the vehicles, we have introduced additional weapons, soldiers and several new maps. Look for news posts on these items to come over the next week or so.

Now, without further delay, I would like to show a tank that was spotted in the Que Son Valley. The PT-76 was developed in 1949-1951 under the leadership of Z.Y. Kotin, and officially adopted on 16 August 1952. The production started in 1953 at the Volgograd Tractor Factory. In 1958 an improved variant, PT-76B, was adopted and remained in production until 1963.

Those of you who played EoD on the BF1942 and BFV game engine platforms will remember the M60 Patton as one of the main battle tanks used within EoD. Today, we would like to continue that tradition by showing a few photographs of the M60 Patton tank that is to be fielded within the next installment of the mod on the BF2 game engine.
