The effort against cheaters and padders goes on. We continue to investigate every reported case of cheating or padding in Battlefield games, then wiping the person's stats if appropriate. If you believe someone is cheating and padding, please visit this section of the EA Customer Support site for information on how to report them.

September saw a huge effort from the EA Customer Support team that resulted in over 700 Battlefield padders and cheaters having their stats wiped right down to zero. The servers they play on were also a focus for our anti-padding efforts. The team delisted 30 padding servers across both Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142.

In addition to this extensive manual effort we also continue to work on new methods to discourage stat padding. This will be combined with continuing other anti-cheating efforts as we believe everyone deserves the best playing experience possible in Battlefield.

Why are they wasting time and effort acting as police rather than take that time and effort and direct it in a constructive way.. like developing and bug fixing?

The team delisted 30 padding servers across both Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142.

meanwhile every FFOFF no vehicle map server running is basically just a place to rack up points. every time I have played one of those servers it just turns into a single line of battle with ammo and medpacks everywhere while people grenade spam.

FFOFF and NO vehicle should be outlawed in the name of quality gaming

Completly disagree - IO is the only reason I still play BF2. It's a change from being slaughtered by vehicules and arti.

The more choices we have in game modes the better - just play the mode you like.

I always thought IO was lame, stupid and can't just hop in a car to get to another flag. However, it really improves your skills, teamwork and well, just about everything. Plus it's better for points + stats, unless you're in a vehicle and own in that...

On my clan's server the other day, there were a group of stat padders who were unnoticed in the corner of Mashtuur until one team lost all flags, couldn't spawn and so had no option but to watch these guys getting away with it. I was going to take a video for EA [even thought it turns out that they only want pictures] but it was too late, and we couldn't kick people because we had just changed the server settings a little, so all previous in-game admins were powerless.
