    The Australian Forces mod team is getting ready for another release coming soon. Here's what they had to say:
    The 1.01 release of Australian Forces should be available in the coming days. the change log can be found below:

    Version 1.01
    - Added: F89 Minimi
    - Added: Gsid's added for maps
    - Added: Highway Tampa map
    - Added: Intro video
    - Added: Kubaysah Cement Factory Night map
    - Added: Night Vision Goggles
    - Change: Ability to throw Ammo/Medipacks removed
    - Change: Australian soldier face textures changed
    - Change: Bushmaster armour increased
    - Change: Carl Gustav/RPG-7 rocket speed/damage increased slightly
    - Change: Client Overgrowth ViewDistance reduced on Battle for Termez
    - Change: Client Overgrowth ViewDistance reduced on Kubaysah Cement Factory
    - Change: Client Overgrowth ViewDistance reduced on Salh Al Abbah
    - Change: Crosshairs removed from handweapons
    - Change: Damage on Steyr F88 increased
    - Change: Enemy nametags removed
    - Change: Grenade reload times increased
    - Change: Hit direction replaced with red damage flash
    - Change: Improved handling on Civilian pickup
    - Change: Improved Steyr F88 models
    - Change: Improved Stinger 3P Zoom animations
    - Change: Improvement to Heavy Woodlands camo

    Great! its shame that this mod did not get a large amount of attention to start with.

      Sounds cool. Hope there's some US servers for it, or at least Euro servers with a ping of less than 150.

              Can't.. I've already got active servers on BF2142 (2 servers), TF2, ETQW and I'll be running the BSS server for USI when that is released.. no processing power to waste on other things right now.

                yes bf2aus still has SP support,and it got a little tougher too with increased accuracy on handweapons...zatar wetlands 64 sp kicksass,was blown away by it..lol
                oh and theres also a night version of the cement factory with SP mode.
                .
                and yes theres always a server running the mod at internode...its an aussie server with a pingkicker...sorry.
                im sure someone will put a server up in your part of the woods.

                i'll just have a rant about the new build..lol
                this version of the bf2aus mod is long overdue,its mainly a fine tune to get rid of most bugs and add a little polish,theres still plenty more to add after this version.
                Arkanis has been hard at it making a whole bunch of gameplay changes to add a little more reality to the mod,i think he found a good medium between reality and arcade without taking the fun out of it.
                we added some well needed new weapon sounds,they have really beefed up the way the handweapons feel.
                the f89 minimi and a m4 are the only 2 new additions to the weapons arsenal.
                the f89 is awesome!,its meaty!,its worth dling the mod just to have a bash on it...seriously!...lol
                the m4 now has an eclan scope/new reticle,m203 and a supressor.
                the f-111 and bushmaster also got a sweet physics make over.
                last but not least,the dump n burn on the f-111 finally works in MP mode.

                    Excellent news Beex. Looking forward to the new version and flying my colours proudly at the capture points Here's also to the digger who lost his life in Afganistan today due to a roadside bomb. My thoughts are with his family and I hope we withdraw from that mess sooner rather than later.

                    Thats a big changelist and I'm looking forward to trying it out guys. Good luck with the next release. Its not October 12 I hope, lol
