It has been a long time since I've had the chance to write a review, and it only seemed proper to come back with a bang. A bang of cannon and musket fire, that is.
The world of Pirates is back into the Battlefield series with Battlefield Pirates 2. Many of you probably remember the older modification for Battlefield 1942, which pitted two separate teams of Pirates against one another on a conquest map. Most maps were set in tropical regions to resemble the time's locations of pirating, and the load of custom content as abundant.
The same can be said for this installment into the series. The modification comes with a load of new content, from maps and weapons, upwards to the props used in the maps. It's a breath of familiar fresh air into the Battlefield series of modifications. While most mods keep on a real world conflict, Pirate's fictional universe is not only something new to play in, but fun as well.

Runs very smooth besides the isolated CTD issue with the one map, but I’m sure that will be addressed. Love the snipermusket btw and sailing the high seas is a blast. The creativity in the kits goes a long way in making the gameplay unique. Nice touch of nostalgia by the addition of the Bf1942 style health and ammo at flags. Two thumbs up! The only things I noticed ingame were that the sprint does not always engage unless the bar is at least half full (perhaps this is by design), the stairs on the ships are a bit wonky to get up sometimes, and the grog doesn’t work in the Church CP on Storm the Bastion. Other than that everything works great! I’ve been recommending the mod to everyone that I know that plays BF2.
