I remember playing USI back in 2005 or 2006, I don't remember the exact date. The maps were way too big, and the sound effects for the weapons were really bad. I hope all this has been fixed, because I'm giving the mod one more chance once 0.15 has been released!
Cool. I thought that since we hadn't seen anything lately and BSS anounced moving to crysis that you guys had given up on bf2 or something.
They didn't move to Crysis. The added a Crysis section. All the other BF2 mods there (Project Reality, OPK, EOD2, etc) are all still in production at BSS.
Strange and out of place comment from a fellow BF2-modder.. So, DCON moving on to another platform then?
Well, Blitz had been "retired" from dcon for quite a while now. And yes, dcon will be moving to ffow when it comes out. We plan to support the bf2 version of the mod for some time tho...

Most maps have been reworked to accommodate smaller battles, but there are plenty of maps that if your on foot, your not out of the fight. But there are also some that you'll want a tank or a chopper before you jump into the fight.
Sound effects rocked, it was one of the most talked about addition in most reviews. We've added more, tweaked some etc... I think you'll like it when you find the right servers and people to play with.
