Re: Nations at War v5.0 Released

Ive just played some SP on map Gazala and i really need to say the following: alot of lightmaps problems, the bots have absolutely no clue what to do with the new and customized vehicles, the A-10's napalm bomb(the one what explodes into little pieces) has a bad affect on the performance, the nuke effect also has a bad effect on the performance(the same effect was in hard justice too and there werent any lag)! No offence guys but please complete and then test the mod before releasing it! Because this doesent look like completed nor tested!

no wonder you're having problems. I see no problems with lightmaps when I play Gazala or any performance issues, as for the AI on the bots...well it's BF2 Numbnut!!!...what the **** do you expect?

Are you sure those are your rig stats? Seems like you're playing on your old one!

Can you guys get this on ModJive? Although I downloaded the whole thing manually, ModJive is a great way to get more people playing it.

I played for the first time tonight, and I also had lightmap problems. It was on a dark map, with snow, and a big building in the top center of the map ringed by steep hills. The buildings in there were so dark I couldn't even see anything. And then, if I got close to them, they would suddenly get lighted properly.

        Hmmmm.

I tryed this mod for 3 hours. Heres my impressions. The vehicles looks very good, some of sounds are specially good. I loved dirtbike and ATV, the bike is even better than PR one. The maps are bit confusing, some of them has too many flags( you know this doesnt help to consentrate the aciton), some of them has too many buildings. The gameplay is the same as vanilla had-which I personally dont like, maybe its fun when you are 15-18. The overall feel is similar to POE, but with more bugs. When I tryed to go online I got 3 times CTD, on the 4th time I got in.
Seems that guys have done lots of work, but the basic idea is weak. Do we need to copy the same idea over and over again with same gameplay or do we have something different than just fancy vehicles. Is this necessery to work hundreds of hours to have full 2 servers for 2 months? I would think about it. I still dont want to take away your hope, just work more with basic idea.

sorry but unistalled it after played all maps. Vehicles are too fast and sometimes uncontrollable. Sniper rifle kicks so badly it not realistic anymore. Textures are not so nicely done. And many others. Cant stand compared to mods like PR2. Nothing new to offer and it is problematic. It give you the impression it was done quick.

Gazala and some other maps "Do" have some performance and Lightmap issues, At the begining of a round, the amount of HD accessing is horrendous, even with 2gb of ram, but the map become playable after 5-10 mins.

I have to say that although i have a somewhat better rig than yours i am not getting any of these problems that you are experiencing on SP gazala..The trouble with any beta testing is the fact that the mod can only be tested on a limited number of machines and therefore all configurations cannot be catered for.

I belive you're thinking of Allied Intent Xtended. It hasn't been released yet.

I think this mod is great, kind of a mix of PR (weapon acc.) and Poe2.
Great maps!! We liked it so much we put up a server TCombat.com
We started with a 24 slot but might bump it up to 32 slots. I hope it gets popular!

I found that gazala needs more than 2gb of ram to run lag free.

I've got to say that I've personally never liked any of the mods. However, this mod is fantastic. Well thought through and original maps. There's a wide variety of things to do. Great jobs guys and gals and thank you for the time you spent developing it for the community at no charge.
