is it just me or are the shadows and the lighting permanently stuck on low/medium? i have them all on high but i swear this is just medium in this build, night and day from the first release and you can tell by how easy it is to see inside buildings, very bright plain looking.

no its not you... I see a flicker of what it appears to be the sun trying to shine through the ground when I face one direction and at a slightly down angle in Close Quarters.... very odd.

IM BIG FAN OF DC 1942 and DC2 BUT THIS MOD ITS THE EVER BAD MOD FOR BF2 !!!!

WHY MOD TEAM OF DC2 DONT USE A FLY MODEL FROM BF2 ?
CHOPER FLYING PHISIC MODEL: choper fly like them dont wanna fly, choper fly like BIG PIG.

WHY PLANES AND CHOPERS DONOT HAVE A FLARES ?
ITS STEP BACK !!!
when i wanna play a chopers or planes without flares i go play old DC.

Flares????? lol You must not understand whats going on here, and it isnt a language barrier either.

BF2 flying needs to be tweaked for most of us, and this release has great helo and plane physics imo. I saw some apache flying last night that was amazing, and I need to practice hard TBH.

BTW, it was never DC2, its dcon.

BTW part 2, using all caps make many people ignore what your saying, including your rants about eastern european download speeds, and whatever else.

Lets get back on topic, thats enough comic relief.

I hadnt noticed really, but I did notice that the lag was fixed, the new maps are amazing, and the changes are just what was needed. Thanks to the dcon team for the hard work. Between this and POE2, I dont need to buy any new games for a while.

OK, well I guess this isn't for you. Thanks FOR YOUR OPINION. What are you expecting to gain by your obnoxious post, are you trying to keep people from deciding for themselves what they think is fun?

Flares are useless against dumbfire weaponry. If you're a fan of DC on 1942 you would understand this.

The goal of this mod is to try and bring the fun of DC on to the BF2 engine. This includes putting control of the weapons and artillery back in the hands of the players.

I and many others believe this release is getting us closer to that goal. Irrational posts like this makes me wonder about some people, jeeze. :-/

got my usual 250kbps download from fileplanet until it hit 30%, now it's down to 7kbps :cry: :cry:

hope the factory based lag is gone from this version :yay:

Sava, I will be joining your server soon. I have been playing on your POE2 server pretty much every night (POE's release is amazing). Of course I am sure you will understand that I am on your dcon server mostly from here.

thats fine.. I kept the server stripped down for now to see how it goes, I just hope it doesn't have to compete with those showing "ranked" symbols. But for now as I said its stripped down...if I find it really taking off I'll configure it more later.

I'm one of the few that though the first release was good enough save for some lag issues. I love the mod. And once again, gameplay trumps sound, skins, texture, etc. And together imo, you guys have hit the nail on the head again. I'm as happy as a pig in ****.

Yeah I got the =CDU= DCon server updated an running now too.

All I gotta do is continue converting over our previous SSM's
