Thank you myself and the lead coder Azaezel Spent many hours of getting those right. I put most the time of the end few months of RC working on those, we put most the time into Mig and F-16 and then worked from there.

What can i say im a plane whore :yay:

and it´s not only the alck of Modsupport by ea. the other side are all these "need-some-points-ranked-player" on BF2. Who don´t play the mods.

It´s sad that this happen to RC, but i can understand the problem. But why QW? this game have a lower polycount for objects as BF2. So you have to rework everthing you´ve done for BF2?

but this is a decision of the RC-Team.

And this will not be the last team who will leave BF2. sad but true...

Sorry to see you guys leave the scene.

So here is my suggestion for a successful mod for either Quakewars or FFOW....I would go with either.

          Terminator:War of the Machines

Simple mod really....humans vs terminators. Lots of destructed environments, lot's of vehicles and....terminators!!!!!!

If you watch T2, there are scenes that show the different vehicles in the war scenes.

Here is a list of Skynet vehicles:
Here is a pic of the Aerial Hunter/Killer

Here is a pic of the HK Tank

If you can run bf2 med/high you should be fine with QW...

RC has other issues beyond Technical ones.

The community was given crappy tools with poor documentation, was lied to repeatedly, and overall has been screwed pretty badly by EA / DICE. Frankly, I see little reason to stick around when there are better opportunities available for us. We've been working on Rising Conflicts for about two years now, this decision is far from hasty.
Fair do's. I'm fully aware of the support/Non existant support mod teams have received but at the same time i see 21,000 people playing BF2 and its mods right now and is seriously doubt that many will be playing ETQW by the time its mods come out.

If i had the choice of catering for 1000 people under harsh crappy conditions, little pay, hardly any staff, and half the ingrediants; or to cater for 100 people, 5* kitchen with equipment, bonus pay, loads of staff, and double the ingrediants. I would honestly choose the 1000 every time.

At the end of the day im producing food not to make me happy, but to make my customers happy. They would appreciate me more so if i were to cater for them under the first choice's conditions and in return i would feel a greater fulfillment for it.

That of course could just be me and the way i see things. I'm not criticising you or your team for making the decision you have done so no harsh feelings :)

Quality over quantity any day of the week.
A smaller tight knit community isn't something that we are opposed to. It was this way in DCX and it was honestly quite enjoyable. I predict that ETQW will be a little more popular than you are anticipating though.

I'm just not that interested in future FPS's... I play 2142 on occasion, but definately not my favorite theme.

Really sad news. You guys did some amazing stuff. Best of luck to your team.

Why EA/DICE doesn't wake up and realize the potential to fully support the mod community is beyond me...

hope you find ET:QW is better, only real thing that puts me off about it from a modding perspective was that its only 32 players max and only 1km x 1km maps (1/2 the size of normal bf2 maps for thous of you who dont know).

Rising conflicts was a great mod, its too bad that not many people ever decided to play it. I tried promoting it once on at a particular gaming community, but as always after two weeks of praising the mod, they went back to playing bf2 to increase their ranks.

btw rhino, a 1 x 1km map is a 1/4 of the large bf2 maps and 1/16 of the largest possible.

21,000 people are NOT playing mods right now....there are on average 4% of the TOTAL BF2 playing community who actively play mods.

BF2 players don't want mods, we've figured that much out already.....so again, give me ONE reason why ANY mod should stick to this engine.....

hehe, im talking size, your talking area :p

and the largest possible ive been able to make is a 8x8km map, which would be 1/64 the area :p

(note, there are alot of bugs with 8x8km maps thou :p)
