Re: Desert Conflict Mod Update
We’re quite used to the bashing/temper tantrums from the likes of GrössKopf and his buddies. Classless behavior, entertaining nonetheless.I really look forward to DCON news releases, if only for the entertaining flame wars. It only takes a few replies for the ingrates to start bashing the mod. This has remained consistent from the early days of the mod.
Honestly, nice work guys...looking forward to the new release.
Sava, much respect to you and the rest of |D| members, top notch ppl. We are very happy to have fans like you guys, and we hope we see you on our next releaseS. As I said before on my other post, plz give us a little more time as we’re ready to test the latest RC and as soon as the Devs are comfortable with it, we will release it.
P.S I predict this thread will go over 5 pages.Comment

I for one am happy to see a new update from you guys even if it doesn't show any new material off at this point. It's better to know a mod team is still hard at work behind the scenes than for the community to assume the mod has just died off. Any update is better than no update and it gets old for the mod teams and myself/other staff for people to complain about the same things every single update that we post here. Yes mods take a long time to make and yes you want to know the release date because you're tired of waiting etc etc. It will be put out when it's ready to be released!

Re: Desert Conflict Mod Update
Honestly I'd just appreciate it if people would just leave out the names of other mods in our posts period.. It does nothing but instigate ****. I'm tired of having to come into our news post and see x y and z going at it.. Its our mod.. our thread.. Leave the Mod politics the hell out of it. This has nothing to do with BSS at all Eleet. I'd appreciate it if you'd stop. I dont care what BSS is doing or not doing. Has no bearing on us what so ever. Fanboys and Devs need to grow up seriously.. Tired of seeing the ravenous routing of one another over what? A news post? Come on people.. get a grip.
call it what ya want and roll your eyes all you want. Facts are Facts.. we've never ever given a date for anything.Comment

Re: Desert Conflict Mod Update
Maybe you could do like a weekly thing for a lil while after the next release. Kind of like the mod spotlight thing EA was supposed to continue. Have someone like Catia check out some of the lesser known servers and advertise them on the site. I can't speak for anyone else but I know a few of us admins would love to have the extra advertising from the devs.
You already give us top notch support and help on all fronts of admining. So this would just be icing on the cake.
Anyways looking forward to your next release. I can't wait for more goodies to play with and mod up.Comment

Re: Desert Conflict Mod Update
You are doing a brilliant job guys, so don't rush the new patch. Take your time. The 0.1a is already very good and makes BF2 a lot more enjoyable (and im not particularly into my mods).
And as for you... im looking forward to your next patch. Australian Forces is the LAN game of choice. Good work!Originally posted by BEEX...the more complicated computer games get,the longer it takes to create and manage a mod.Comment

Re: Desert Conflict Mod Update
hey fellas, been a while since I've posted, but I saw someone talking about the "ranked" server. one of our (dcon) devs, masterx, has been working on, and has now completed a working version of ranked dcon servers. I've seen the actions and it works very well recording stats, ranks, etc... from what I understand so far, masterx will be hosting the ranked servers stats on one of his servers and to sign up for being a ranked server host, all you need to do is be added to his list. From what I understand so far, this is not a finality of any kind yet, but it is working and masterx did an excellent job. I personally look forward to being able to check and see my dcon scores, stats and rank as I play, would be neat.
I'll see if I can get master x to write up a news release on how it will all work. Not sure yet if it will be ready for the patch release or not. We'll have to let you guys know in the near future. Anyway, thought I'd chime in on that point.Comment

Re: Desert Conflict Mod Update
How are those other guys MY buddies, like I'm the ring leader... then again, you guys get your panties in a bind whenever someone makes the slightest negative comment, like we came into your house and pissed on your couch. Stop being so sensative before some guy comes up and asks you for a date.
BTW - I expect you to do extensive searching in forums looking for posts that you can interpret as me as previously bashing you, your grandmother and your Steve Austin action figure collection, so please quote away.
If you're gonna delete/edit posts, feel free to edit the one you quoted, as well as your own, removing my name. I don't use anyone's specific names in my posts. It depends how many replies I will have to delete that are non-constructive and just looking to stir the pot.

I have been testing this with him and it's a really nice setup. Even know I don't play for stats or ranks I am sure this will help attract and retain the interest of players that do.hey fellas, been a while since I've posted, but I saw someone talking about the "ranked" server. one of our (dcon) devs, masterx, has been working on, and has now completed a working version of ranked dcon servers.
