This was an account of the battle briefing for the Coalition Divisions just prior to last weekend's battles, which the Coalition Divisions has resounding wins against the Opposition forces.
The crackle of the microphone pierced the air as the assmebled men of the 3rd Infantry Division (US Army) and the 51st Scottish Drigade (UK Royal Army) awaited the arrival of the Commander-n-Chief General Trijicon to speak. As he strode up to the makeshift podium on the back of a deuce in a half his presence causes the place to quiet in waves. One of his adjutants standing on the ground snaps to attention and bellows, "Battalion - ATTENSHUN!!" - his thick southern accent calling thousands of feet together in a loud crack.
“Men we have seen peace and war together. The fruit of victory and the agony of defeat. In our last engagement we did not acquit ourselves well," he said steadily his voice piercing the crowd. "That my brothers is ancient history. From, this moment on - today, here and now - we are going to let our enemies know that they cannot and will not own these territories."
"There is an old infantry saying," he continued, everyone's eyes affixed on their commander, "You can only trust the man in the foxhole with you. Well you are in my foxhole and I trust each and everyone of you to complete the mission you are about to undertake. The forces of the opposition or moving against us. Tomorrow they will feel the counter-punch of my steel fist as our lion, the 51st Scottish moves out to meet them head on."
"My counter-punch will be to throw the 3ID into the battle the next day to complete the task at hand." He stood and let his last word linger over the assembled crowd. "You all know what it is you are here to do. You have trained for it and you know what is expected of you. Read more...
