IDF - Fight For Independence Mod Update #1

There is a new update posted today over at the IDF - Fight For Independence mod website. Here's what they had to say:

Welcome mod fans and readers to the first out of six media blitzes, one for each day of the 6-Day War!

Lets begin...40 years ago today, on june 5th 1967 at 0710 AM Israeli Airforce aircraft took off from bases across Israel their target; egyptian airbases arcross the Sinai and Egypt.

At 0750 the command "Sadin-Adom" or "Red-Sheet" was issued, and 3 Israeli devisions crossed the egyptain border, effectively starting the 6 day war. After that little history lesson, we're moving on to the bulk of the update, Todays update will focus on airpower.

First we have the IAF Mirage 3CJ and MD-450. The Mirage 3CJ or "Shahak" was a french made delta wing fighter which proved deadly in hands of skilled IAF pilots, the Mirage was armed with 2 30mm DEFA cannons and could carry bombs or 4 AA missiles such as the Shafrir.

quick question, how many bombs will that IL-28 carry? will it be meant for specifically bombing tanks?

Excuse the lack of knowledge gentlemen, but is this mod going to be done on a Israel vs Palestine basis?

Well for the first question, I really dont know how many bombs the IL-28 could carry, but I geuss we'll put something around 6 500KG bombs,
Second qeustion, the IL-28 is a bomber, not specifacly dircted as a tank buster, you could bomb everything with it, tanks, infantry, bases, hell you could even strage and dogfight with it lol.

As for the 3erd question, no the mod isnt anything like that, the mod is about the wars between the standing armies of Isreal and its arab neighboors: Egypt, Syria, Jordan.
nothing related to palestinians or anything like that, just pure soldier to soldier combat.

"The mod will bring the player into 3 wars between the state of Israel, Syria, Jordan and Egypt"

Looks good, something very different to what we have seen already.

Looks Great!! Will we be able to play as all sides? Take turns playing as Israel/Egypt/Syria etc?
