Re: Battlefield 2 Content Update
its what people want (the majority) you have to keep it official to be played on Ranked servers. Even maps made by whoever and allowed on a ranked box would be nice.Comment

Re: Battlefield 2 Content Update
I like this map Ive played it 60 or 70 times now and i like it the way it is. So please do not add attack Helli's & bombers like some people are asking for as the map is good as is (the airpower doesnt overwhelm the game play), also keep the sandstorm/fog distance the same as that tends to keep the numbers of snipers down on the servers as well which is definitely appreciated.
P.S. If you want to keep on pumping out new maps thats are sponsored by companies go for your life i'm not bothered as long as it FREE.Comment

Re: Battlefield 2 Content Update
Good to see a two-year old game can still generate a thread with 250+ posts!
The attention this thread gets shows the level of passion that the fans have for the game.
My question is this: Why did this game run better in 2005 with my old 6800GT than it does now with a factory overclocked 7800GS?Comment

Re: Battlefield 2 Content Update
Im entitled to nothing. I do however expect the game to be playable, and if it has flaws, I expect the to be fixed. Thats been said for the whole gaming side.
I didnt pay for bugs, Id like to return them. For me, I only paid $50 for the game itself, anything more is simply bonus and a gift for me.
The worst trend is the "1st day patch". Its sickening that game companies accept that their fanbase will accept the game along with the bugs and they can release fixes however and whenever they like it. And if DiCE took the responsibility of reworking gameplay mechanics, they should have reworked it so it would actually work.Even with the current trend where patches and updates are continuously released for almost every popular PC game, I still hold the fact that I didn't pay for these patches/updates but only the game itself.
I agree with you here wholeheartedly. Yet were at patch 1.41, and the game doesnt really feel better. Hell, for me its unplayable!Whether it's a "farked" game or not is very subjective. To me, Battlefield 1.00 was indeed "fully functional, satisfying game".
You got the whole question and answer wrong. My point, aswell as his point is that patches are common sense in nowaday gaming. For me, that is not an excuse to release halfassed games. Then there's the question that was asked to you before (I think): Name any one PC game that didn't need any patches or updates because it was already "fully functional, satisfying game."Comment

Re: Battlefield 2 Content Update
Good link. The 1.5 patch changelog link inside the topic is also awesome.
Probably fake, but who knows. Quake Wars is knocking, so they are making a move.
LOL! What a quote, what a quote!
It's also based on the laws of Mother Nature, whereas BF2 is based on the laws of Mother F*cker.
Found on those forums.Comment

Re: Battlefield 2 Content Update
cfschris well something is keeping the sniper numbers down theres normally at least 10 on either side on a normal map on this map im seeing around 4 on either side (64 player version). And as the sandstorm/fog makes it much harder to see only the good snipers are actually going to be able to do well while the noobs are going to give up as its to hard ;-).Comment

yeah this isn't a very good long distance sniper map, I'd like to see the 64player version with the bomber added in and a Attack chopper for both sides with increased AA's to ward them off for the balance. 32 can stay just how it is with one or two less flags but so far so good.Comment

Re: Battlefield 2 Content Update
I have my Battlefield 2 installed in my secondary harddrive, D:\. When I ran the installer, it automatically detected my BF2 files in this drive, not in C:\.
Don't try to accuse them for almost every faults

Re: Battlefield 2 Content Update
Everytime I try to load this map, I get a .dll memory error, and then BF2 crashes. I've re-installed it a couple of times, and deleted all the content under the \cache directory, but still the same problem is happening. Anyone knows what could be?
Thanks!!!!Comment
